Jamie's Crash

Okay so I a little embarrased to share this story but it is so funny I can't resist. So we have been finishing our yard and we are almost ready for sawd...YEAH! This morning started at 8:00 am with the arrival of 72 3-cubic feet bags of bark that myself and the "bark man" unloaded into the garage. Wow, they were heavy and there was a lot of bags. Next, tomorrow is garbage day and I decided to do some cleaning up in the yard. I decided to pick up all the rocks and cement chunks, at least the ones that I can move, and put them into the garbage so the garbage man can dump it. I am thinking to myself...Kevin will be so proud! I wheeled my big black garbage can over on the side of my house and began filling. I had the garbage completely full and had cleaned up all but 2 huge cement chunks. So I am feeling good about my efforts this morning and go to tip my big black garbage back on it's wheels to take to the front curb. I underestimated the weight of all the cement and rocks in the garbage can and CRASH the whole, heavy, can crashed on top of me. I think if my arms were not so tired from all the bark moving this morning I could have held it better but my arms just gave. What was I thinking...it's not like I am superwoman. I should have known that it would be too heavy for me to move. So there I am laying in the middle of the road with a heavy garbage can smashed on my leg. Maycee is sitting in her stroller on the sidewalk and my boys are inside having breakfast. If any of my neighbors were watching out their windows I bet they were laughing their heads off. So now what to do. I wiggled my legs out from under the garbage can. Yeah...I am free with only a few bumps and bruises. Now, how do I get the garbage can up. I obviously cannot lift if. I ended up unloading all the cement that I just loaded and moving the can around front and then reloading the cement chunks and rocks one at a time walking them all they way to the garbage can. Wow I am tired and dirty and it's only 9:00am, but the yard looks great!

OUCH!!

Brandon almost made it to six years old without any stitches. Yesterday we were at the Kangaroo Zoo (way fun place) and the boys were of course out of control jumping on all the different inflatable toys. Brandon decided he would climb up one and jump to another and guess what happened? Yes, he jump right onto his brothers head and hit his chin and split it open. Brandon had 3 stitches. He was so brave at the instacare. Mom was a little woozy but Brandon and Dad were so calm. Brandon was sad about his chin but he was mostly sad that he had to leave the Kangaroo Zoo to go and get stitches. We will have to go back another time.

Mothers Day

Well this mothers day was wonderful. Kevin took such good care of me. I woke up to Brandon saying, "Mom, I am supposed to make you breakfast, but all I know how to make is toast...is that okay?". I said yes, toast would be wonderful! Next I got to open a gift from my boys. Brandon and Isaac thought that I needed a JAZZ jersey (Boozer...of course) just like them. Sunday was a big Jazz vs. Lakers game so we all wore our jerserys....go JAZZ!

Isaac tired

So Isaac fell asleep in the car on the way home. Kevin carried him onto the bed. A few seconds later I was in the other room and heard Isaac get up and walk to the bathroom. Then I heard him go pee and then it was quiet. I guess he was so tired that he just laid down and fell asleep on the bathroom floor, he didn't even have the energy to pull up his pants. When he is 16 he will hate this picture but for now...isn't he so cute!

Hand Stuck

Well Brandon decided to stick his hand into a small tunnel on a "ball popper" toy. Somehow he managed to get his hand really stuck. I mean really stuck! I don't usually panic but I started to think that I might have to break the toy to get his hand out or maybe dump butter or oil down the tunnel to help "slip" the hand out. Brandon started to cry saying "Mom, I don't want to sleep with this on my hand. After about 10 minutes of twisting and pulling we got it off. Brandon's hand was starting to turn purple. Don't worry, I am such a good mom that I made Brandon stand in his pain and smile for a picture for all of our pleasure. Brandon said "Mom, why do you want a picture" and I replied, "So you can look at it and remember not to stick you hand in anything small again".
