Christmas Day 2010

Hooray for Christmas. I can't believe it has already come and gone. We had a great day. We spent the morning opening presents and then headed off to be with my mom and her family for lunch and then to Kevin's family for dinner and more presents. I think that the kids were all very happy with what Santa brought them. They tore open all of the presents and made a huge mess...I am still cleaning up!

Jake slept most of the morning and was just happy being there. He got a new outfit and some diapers. Hooray for Diapers!

Maycee got some dress-ups, a purple barbie (which was the only thing that she wanted Santa to bring) and a kitchen! She hasn't stopped making us pretend food.

Isaac got this great remote control car, a new lightsabor, a ironman helmet and a superhero squad DS game and Donkey Kong Wii game.

Yep its an IPOD touch. That is what he wanted and Santa didn't let him down. I don't even have an IPOD but I am hoping that Brandon will share with me. He also got a remote control car like Isaac. Thanks to the nice sunshine yesterday we had lots of fun driving the cars around the culdesac!
Overall we had a great day. Kevin spoiled me like he always does and I even suprised Kevin with one gift that he didn't know about.

Chistmas Eve Nativity

We did the annual Nativity story on Christmas Eve. Kevin read the story and the kids (and some adults) acted it out. Maycee and Uncle Matt were Mary and Joseph. Baby Jake was baby Jesus. Brandon and Uncle Andy were the Sheperds, Mike and Isaac were the wiseman and Aunt Maddy was the angel. Oh ya....Grandma Jo and Grandpa Bell were the sheep! Next we played the chimes and then had dessert. After the kids were so excited for Santa to come that they set out the milk and cookies for Santa and went right to bed.

Rudd Family Christmas Party

We had the Rudd Family Christmas Party. Grandma Rudd rented the whole bowling alley and we all gt to have fun bowling. Next we headed over to have dinner at the pizza place and guess who showed up...Santa...yep....suprise....suprise!

Christmas trains

We did our fun Reese family tradition of Christmas Trains. All the kids decorated their box cars for the train. They each got new jammies from Gram and Papa and then climbed in their train boxes while Papa read the Polar Express and Gram passed out milk and cookies. This is one of the kids favorite thing to do with their cousins.

Maycee's 1st Dance recital

First you see Maycee's two dances and then you see all the dancers coming out for a final bow. Notice the little pink tutu girl that keeps coming out on stage...even when she is not suppose to, that is Maycee!

Maycee's first dance recital

Maycee and her dance teacher, aunt Ashley and her 3 cousins, Hailey, Savannah and Mykelle!

Maycee did wonderful. She actually sortof danced and even put on a show of picking her nose right in the middle of her dance! :) It was a proud moment for her momma! We have it all on video and I will try to upload the dance so you can laugh...it was great entertainment.

cute kiddos!!!

Economics Fair

Today was the third grade Economics Fair. Each third grader makes something to sale. They get a pretend business license, buy a spot to sale their item at and they set up shop and sale all day long. Brandon made these cute little mini skateboards. He had lots of fun making them. It was so fun to see all the kids and the items that they made. Isaac is already thinking about what he wants to make when he is in third grade.

Jake's 4 Week Old Pictures

Maycee's Dance Recital

Maycee has a dance recital coming up. We have been practicing her dance and today we decided to try on her costume. She thought she was a pretty princess and so we took some pictures. I can't wait to see if she actually dances on the stage or just stands there. Either way it will be fun to watch.

Christmas Trains and Christmas Lights

Christmas must be coming....

The kids did their christmas trains with all the Reese grankids. I don't really think that Maycee's is a train....it is more a "candy collage". They always love making these trains out of candy. We like to display them on our table until Christmas but somehow everyday candy disappears from the trains. Hmmmmm.....

Kevin put the Christmas lights up outside. This is NOT his favorite thing to do but he is such a good sport and he puts them up for me and the kids!

The kids and I also got the Christmas tree up and all the decorations. I realized that I don't have stalkings for Maycee and Jake. Looks like I got a project to get working on!

We are feeling the Christmas Spirit at our house!

We Love Baby Jake!

We just love having Jake in our family. He is such a good baby and so much fun to snuggle. The kids always fight over who gets to hold him. Everynight when I read to the boys in their beds they take turns holding him while I read. I think it's their favorite part of going to bed. Jake is easy going and just goes along with whatever we are doing. He can sleep right next to his brothers and sisters yelling at eachother. He smiles a lot in his sleep and he farts like a grown man! He makes me smile everyday.
One day Jake was crying and I decided that I was going to let him cry it out for a little bit. He had only cried for a minute or two and the kids all came in to hold him. I told them to leave him alone for a minute and they thought that was so rude of me. Brandon said, "Mom, you get a new baby and you treat him like that!" :) I explained to the kids that sometimes it's good for babies to cry.
Jake is quite spitty and that is the only thing that grosses my boys out. Maycee always tries to wipe up his spit-up but my boys will go change their clothes if they get a little spit-up on them. What cute kids!

Maycee's prayer

The other day Maycee was saying the prayer at dinner all by herself. Here is part of what she said: " Bless the food to make us strong and help Brandon not be stupid!" Brandon was arguing with her before the prayer over who got to say it. Kevin and I couldn't help laughing out loud. She is such a cute little stink!

Karate Test

Here are my two cute Karate boys. They both had a test to see if they could advance to the next belt. Brandon passed and advanced to green belt and Isaac passed and advanced to yellow. It is always so much fun to see what they have been learning. As soon as I figure out my video camera I can download some awesome videos for you to see.

I took this shot to early but Isaac did kick both of the boards.
