Bee's Game

Monday night we went to a "family night" Bee's baseball game. We got hotdogs and watched a baseball game. It turned out to be really fun. I didn't know how my kids would do but Brandon was totally entertained by the thought that a ball might be hit into the stands and that he was going to catch it. He had his mit ready the whole game. Isaac loved looking for the "bee" and singing take me out to the ball game. Maycee slept most of the time and Kevin and I got to sit by eachother without any kids between us...that doesn't happen often. Overall a very fun night.

Oh no...not again!

Okay, so I know this looks like a repeat picture from a couple weeks ago when Brandon got stitches in his chin but this time it was Isaac who decided to split his chin open. So last night I am at enrichment and I get this call from Kevin that Isaac slipped in the bath tub and they are on their way to the instacare for stitches. They ended up just glueing (is that how you spell that?) the cut. Isaac was very brave and I guess he was just feeling left out because Brandon split open his chin and so Isaac needed to do the same. My poor kids are so beat up. Because we have been working out in the yard so much they have been riding bikes and scooter and playing outside. We have had numerous crashes. Isaac has two skinned knees, one skinned elbow and a rasberry on his upper thigh. Brandon has a big scratch and brusing on his elbow from a crash and a large gooseache on his head, which he came home from school with. We have gone through tonz of bandaids and it is barely June. This might be a long summer of ouchies!

yard work!

So, we have been working like crazy to get the yard finished. I have been telling my sister, in Las Vegas, about it and she keeps telling me to put some pictures up so she can see what I am talking about and so here is a picture of our progress (only half the house). Sprinklers are all done....large rocks moved and placed...curbing done...top soil on flower beds...weed fabric on flower beds...bark on flower beds...planted only a few lonely plants. We are laying sawd on Saturday. I will post a picture of the final yard after the sawd. Can I just mention that I have learned more than I ever wanted to know about sprinklers. Kevin and I did it ourselves, with some help from family and friends, but we never want to do it again!
