Bad Luck

I hope bad things don't come in threes because I have had two bad things happen in the past 6 days and I don't want anymore.

1. Last Thursday, the kids were out of school and I thought I would be a good mom and take my kids to see a movie. We had a great time at the movie and on our way home we were in a car accident. Don't worry no one was seriously hurt and it wasn't my fault. We were stopped at a red light and a 19 year old in a truck and TEXTING... wasn't paying attention and rammed into the back of us. Needless to say our Honda pilot got the worst of it and it will be in the shop until at least Oct. 22...or so they say! I am not going to get into all the messy details because it might make me mad again but that was a bad night.

2. This morning as I am hurrying to get the kids out the door and ON TIME to school I had a little fight with the corner of the car door. A sharp corner bounced back and smacked me in the chin. I give up...the door won that fight. My hubby ran home to take care of his frantic wife and helped me to the Quick Care where the nice doctor gave me 4 stitches! I was kindof a whimp about getting stitches but the doctor told me if I was brave I could have a sucker. Oh goody!

I hope next time I blog I have more happy things to share!

Park City

My twin sister Jenn was in town with her kids this last week. We had lots of fun together. One of the things we did was go to Park City. We rode the alpine slides and the kids wanted to do this "jumpy thingy". I have other pictures I will post later. We had tonz of fun and can't wait until Jenn and her family visits us again.

Here we are getting on the lift to take us up to the top of the Alpine Slide

This is Brandon in the front (green shirt) and me right behind. Brandon was too tall to ride with me and since it was his first time he was a little nervous and so they let me ride in my sled right behind him.

Isaac and Kevin crusing down the slide.

Maycee's Big Girl Bed

Maycee finally got her "big girl" bed. She started climbing out of her crib at about 15 monthes. She slept on a mattress on the floor for about 3 monthes...poor girl and then we finally decided it was time. The first night she slept in her bed she was a little nervous because it is much higher than sleeping on the ground. I laid by her and she fell asleep quickly. She is very excited to show people her new bed. Now if I can just get some decorations up on the walls I can finally say that I have finished her room.

Isaac the Soccer Man!

Isaac has been playing soccer this season and he absolutely loves it. I think he is the only 5 year old who actually pays attention to the score. He gets so frustrated if his team looses. He is very into the game and when he is really intense he sticks his tongue out when he runs or kicks. It is so much fun to watch him. Here are just a few pics.

Elementary School Carnival

This week Brandon's school had their carnival. We took the family and went and had a fun time. They had a bazillion (I know that's not a real word) different blow up toys and all sorts of games. Here are a couple pictures of our fun!

Everyone has to have a snowcone at the carnival. Who came up with this idea...to serve your own juice. That is my snowcone dream so then I can have all the juice I like. Notice Brandon got a little bit too much juice!

Maycee wanted a snowcone to. Here she is enjoying her snowcone. Kevin decided that she needed blue flavor.

Maycee after the snowcone. Notice the stained blue face, neck and hands.

Thank goodness for all the cool carnival games so you can spend all your money :(

Brandon really wanted to climb this rock wall. He almost made it to the top. He said that "for sure he will make it next year!"

Isaac's first day of school

Today was Isaac first day of his last year of preschool. He is almost old enough to go to Kindergarten but not quite and so he has one more year of preschool. We decided to send him to the Montessori Preschool. It is 4 days a week and I love the program and its ideas. Isaac has been waiting since Brandon started (August 24) for his turn to start and so this day was long anticipated. He was so excited this morning!

Bee's Game

For Labor Day we decided to take the boys to a Bee's Game. We were hoping for some cool weather to enjoy the game but no such luck. We sat out in the heat and ate hot dogs and watched baseball.
