Family Hike

The kids and I sat down at the beginning of summer and wrote a list of some fun things we want to do this summer. Brandon and Isaac both wanted to go hiking and so here we are on our first hike up Davis Creek Trail. My family came along and we had a fun time hiking, seeing all the bugs, seeing and touching the waterfall and making our own walking sticks.

Grandpa B's Funeral

Yesterday was Grandpa B's funeral. It was a wonderful day full of memories of Grandpa. Here is one of my favorite pictures that Jenn took. Grandpa was in the Navy and so the Honor Guard was there to do the salute, play the horn and present Grandma with a flag. I have never attend a graveside like that and I felt proud that I knew Grandpa, a man who served our country.

Goodbye Grandpa B

Today has been a hard day. Kevin's Grandpa Reese died today. He had Alzheimer's and hasn't been doing very well the last couple of weeks. Kevin was able to be with him for his last breaths and Kevin said it was very peaceful. I have many memories of Grandpa B (B for Bud...that is what we called him). He and Grandma B came up and visited Kevin and I in law school. We took a short trip to Coeud'lene and I remember Grandpa and Grandma staying up late playing cards with us. About 2 months ago Kevin and Brandon stopped by to visit with Grandpa B. Grandpa B gave Brandon the nickname of "Handy Brandy". Brandon was telling Grandpa how he is trying to earn money for nintendo DS that he wanted. He was telling Grandpa all the different kind of jobs he has been doing to earn money and Grandpa said he was so proud of Handy Brandy and then quickly pulled out his wallet and handed him a $20. Brandon's eyes went big and he smiled and said thanks. Grandpa always knew how to make us smile. We love you Grandpa.

What's the big deal...it's just a little Mud

Maycee was playing in mud with her brothers. At first she just kindof splashed her feet and then all the sudden she slipped and .....

Yes I did have my camera because I thought the kids might get kindof dirty and cute and I could take a picture but I had no idea how dirty they would get. Maycee was the dirtiest of all.

Living Planet Aquarium

While my sister and her kids were visiting us from Las Vegas we decided to do some fun things with the kids. One day we took the kids to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy.
The kids all had a great time but Maycee was especially into the fish. We got to reach in and touch sting rays and other weird little Sea Urchins.

Reese Family Grankid pictures

Jenn also took some pictures of the "Reese" grankids. It was hillarious to try to get all 13 kids holding still and looking in the same direction.
