1st grade...ready or not here we come!

This morning Kevin and I took Brandon to his first day of 1st grade. Brandon woke up really early...anxious to go. He said that he is a little bit scared to be there ALL day without his mom. Last night Kevin gave him a fathers blessing to help him be brave and learn. I told Brandon to listen really carefully to what his dad said in the blessing because it was just for him. Afterwards Brandon turned around and gave Kevin a big hug and said, "dad, I just had this really warm feeling in my heart and then a tear came in my eye...but is was a happy tear." Kevin gave him a little lesson on feeling the spirit. I was so darn cute! I just love Brandon and I am proud of him. Right now I am patiently waiting until I can go pick him up and see how his first day went. I have a whole list of question waiting for him like...What (if any) did you eat for lunch? What was your favorite part? Who do you sit by? Did you listen to your teacher? And many more.

Boondocks

Yesterday we went to boondocks. The kids had a blast. We rode go-karts, mini-golf, bumper boats, bounce house, arcades, had lunch and tonz of fun. I only took a few pictures because I was too busy playing. Enjoy!

I had to post these pictures just because I have great kids. They always hug and kiss me and it makes me feel so good to be their mom.

At Brandon's 1st grade barbeque the other night we met his teacher and saw his classroom. The teacher gave all the kids a treat and afterward Brandon went up to her and said, "my mom likes those treats too!" He was looking out for me and he knows that the secret to my heart is a treat.

Happy Birthday Isaac

Today my sweet little Isaac is 4! I can't belive it has been 4 years. He came into this world with a bang and he hasn't stopped yet. I remember when he was 2 months old and he had his surgery on his head and how stressful, yet full of blessings, that time was for us. Right before his surgery, in the waiting room at the hospital, I held Isaac and rocked him, he slept in my arms and I felt truley blessed for this special boy. As I contemplated the possiblities of the unknown I got a better understanding and appreciate for my little Isaac and his mission here on this earth. The name Isaac means "laughter" and for those of us who know Isaac know that he laughs all the time and has the best belly laugh ever. Isaac may be little on the outside but definately not on the inside.



We had a star wars party yesterday and celebrated his birthday (along with Brandons). I was to involved with the party and games that I did not take very many pictures but I will post the few that I got. It was a very fun party and my boys loved it. Thanks to everyone who came for all the wonderful presents and fun time they shared with us.






Kevin and I gave Isaac his own little set of golf clubs. Ever since Brandon got his, Isaac has been asking for his own and so we thought that was the perfect gift. If anyone ever wants to go golfing Kevin, Brandon and Isaac would love to go with them.

Brandon got some golf clubs for his birthday. He has been talking about going golfing with his dad for a long time and so we finally got him his very own set of clubs. He was absolutely thrilled when he opened them. He has been practicing outside and even gone golfing with Kevin once already.

Today is Brandon's birthday. Brandon was born on July 25, 2002 at 5:21pm. Brandon is such an amazing boy and I cannot belive he is six years old. We are having a STAR WARS birthday party for both Isaac and Brandon next week and so today I told Brandon that he could pick some fireworks and we could do some fireworks tonight for his birthday. We went to a firework place and Brandon walked in and...of course...picked up the biggest (most expensive) firework in the whole place and would not put it down. I tried to talk him into something else and he kept saying, "mom, it's my birthday and you said I could choose the finale firework!" He is right and so I have learned my lesson to be more clear and set a price limit before I promise Brandon something.
