Isaac is Mr. Defense

Isaac's soccer coach has moved him back to play defense and he is doing awesome there. He is a great little hustler and hardly anything gets by him. Here is a fun picture that shows his intensity.

Fun at the Kaysville Splash Pad

Brandon's cousin Lincoln, aunt shelly and cousin Belle came to visit from North Carolina. We did lots of playing together.

Their was a fire on the mountains in Farmington above Grandma Jo's house. We enjoyed watching the helicopters dump water on the fire from Grandma's lawn.

Soccer Tournaments

Brandon's soccer team has been in some tournaments the past two weeks. The first was the Rampage tournament and they won 2 of their 3 games, but lost in the semifinal game. The next week they played in the Strikers tournament and took 1st place. Brandon scored in the championship game and they won 2-1. I love watching soccer.

Ward Campout

We went camping this weekend on the ward campout. We went up to Cinnamon Creek (aka cinnamon toast crunch) which is by porcupine reservoir. For a non-camping family...we all had lots of fun. However camping with Jake (crazy 2 year old) was a nightmare. He ran from one blazing fire pit to the next and then to the close by river. It was beautiful up there but I was tired chasing him. Next time I am just going to tie a rope around his waste and tether him to me. The kids enjoyed playing in the fire, tag, sitting around the camp fire, dutch oven scones, staying up late, carving with pocket knifes, playing in the river, throwing rocks (even at my face-thanks Jake), hiking to Rosy's Mine, roasting hot dogs, marshmellows, eating smores and being dirty all week. We all smelled like camp fire and Kev and I are still doing laundry. Can't wait until next year.

Happy Birthday Isaac...can't believe your 9

Isaac is officially a 9 year old. Isaac wanted a minecraft creeper cake. Minecraft is a computer game he likes to play and the creeper is a guy on it. I had no idea what it was but we printed a picture off the internet and did our best. He loved it! We were camping on his birthday and so we sang happy birthday to him around the camp fire. When we got home that night we enjoyed some bday cake. Isaac is such a fun kid. He has lots of friends and loves to be busy. He spends most of his time playing soccer or playing on the computer or ipod. He also likes to play basketball and ride his bike. Isaac likes to tell jokes and eat chicken nuggets. We love you Isaac.
