Discovery Museum at the Gateway

Our last "outing" before we go back to school. We went to the Discovery Gateway museum at the Gateway. My little brother Matt, who my kids love, came with us. I have so many fun pictures to share I am sorry there are so many.

First Day of 2nd grade

Today is Brandon's first day of 2nd grade. His teacher is Mrs. Inderidian and his 2 best friends are in his class. He was so nervous about going back to school. He has had a hard time sleeping since Friday night. He wakes up worried about going to school. He get that from me because I am kindof a worry wart. I was always nervous before my first day of school...even in college! He keeps telling me that he doesn't know how to do 2nd grade. I have tried to tell him that the teacher will tell him everything that he needs to know but he is still nervous. Anyways, I snapped some cute pictures of him before school.

Boys birhday money

The boys got a little extra money for their birthdays. After much contemplation about what to buy... the boys decided that they would like some dress-up/costumes. Brandon wanted Indiana Jones and Isaac wanted Storm Shadow (bad ninja guy on GI Joe). Here are the boys in their costumes.

I had to include some pictures of Maycee playing with her baby. She likes to carry her around and give her drinks. Isn't she cute.
After having 2 boys I find it amazing that, without any coaching from me, my little girl has started doing girl things.

Happy Birthday Kevy!

I am a little slow at posting this but Saturday was Kevin's birthday! We went out to breakfast and then took him shopping at the mall to get a new outfit. Then Kevy had a birthday nap and then we went out for dinner. That night we went to the Davis county rodeo. Kevin is not a big rodeo fan but the boys and I loved it. Maycee loves animals and so she especially liked all the horses. We got home really late but hopefully it was a good day for Kevin. Kevin is such a wonderful person. He works so hard for our family. Kevy is such a good dad and spends every extra minute he has playing with the kids. We love you Kevy!

Maycee and a little Mascara

This is what happens when you leave Maycee alone in the bathroom for 1 minute. I was getting ready and so my make-up was on the counter. I stepped out to check okn the boys and when I came back this is what I found. Maycee was looking in the mirror admiring her mascara job!

Happy Birthday Isaac!

Today is Isaac's birthday. He is 5 years old. We started out the day going out to breakfast. Isaac's choose McDonals, he likes the pancakes and the playland. I did sneak a match and candle in my pocket so that I could give Isaac his "candle in a pancake" breakfast. I hoped that none of the workers smelled the smoke after he blew the candle out and thought that I was smoking in the kids playland with my kids :) Isaac and Brandon got a swing set for their birthdays and we got it all put together last night. A big thanks to my mom, dad, brothers and Trent for helping. Brandon and Isaac haved loved their birthday present. They woke up at 7:30 and went right outside...in their jammies...and started playing. I told them to be quiet so they didn't wake the neighbors. They continued to play until we went to McDonalds for breakfast and then as soon as we got home they went right back outside. They had a picnic lunch in their new clubhouse and then I MADE them come in at 2:30 to get out of the sun. So far it has been a good birthday for Isaac. He likes the big present but it is only one present...He said next year he would likes "lots of little presents to open instead!" What a cute stinker! Isaac is growing up so big. He has one more year of preschool before he starts Kindergarten. We love you Isaac!

Brandon started Karate!

Yesterday Brandon started his first Karate lessons. He has been wanting to take Karate for a long time and he decided that he did not want to play Fall soccer and so we signed him up for Karate instead. He was a little nervous at first because he didn't know what to do but after a few minutes he was having a great time. I don't think I have ever seen him concentrate so hard on something...it was great! He got his uniform (Gi) and he loves it. I had to beg him to take it off last night to go to bed.
Notice his intense face in the picture...Ha Ha Ha
