Whats been going on....

So now that baby Jake is born I can go back and catch up on some of the stuff that happened right before he was born that I never got around to posting.
First my mom got remarried. She is such a cute mom and we are so happy for her. In the past couple weeks my extended family grew. Not only did we get baby Jake but I also got 6 new sisters, 1 new brother and 20+ cousins for my children to play with!

My twin sister, Jenn and her family came in town. They live in Wisconson so we don't see them much. They were here over Halloween and so we got to trick or treat with them. My kids love playing with them and we were so glad we got to see them.
Also my little sister Brooke and her husband Max, who live in Washington D.C got to visit also. I don't have any pictures but we love seeing them also.
With both my sisters living out of state I have really enjoyed seeing them both recently. They are such good sisters and I hope some day they move closer :)

Jake's Story
On Monday November 1, 2010 Kevin and I went to the hospital to have a baby. We got there and my doctor broke my water about 8:30. I started having contractions and got my epidural at 10:30. At 12:15 the nurse told me I was ready to have a baby. She called my doc. who came in at 12:25ish (panting because he hurried so he could make it in time to deliver Jake). I pushed twice and Jake was out at 12:31! He came out crying and crying. I guess he liked his nice, warm, quiet, comfty dark uterus home better than all the bright lights and people bugging him. His birth weight was 8 lbs and he was 21 inches long. Kevin and I think that he looks like Brandon did when he was born. Everything went so smooth...it was a good day. The kids were sooo excited to meet him. They keep asking if they can miss school to stay home and hold him.
The day I was ready to go home the kids came to visit me at the hospital and I was up walking around the room and Isaac looked at me and said, "Mom, you can walk again!" I guess he has seen me sitting in a hospital bed for a couple days straight and thought maybe I couldn't walk. Maycee said that she wanted to feed Jake and Kevin told her that mommy feeds the baby with her boobies! Maycee gave Kevin a dirty look and said, "Daddy, that will make Jake sick!"
Anyways, we are all home and happy now. We are so glad that Jake is a part of our family. He is a good boy and a great sleeper (so far)!

2010 Syracuse Pumpkin Walk
Last night we went to the Syracuse Pumpkin walk with the Loves and Burtons. The kids always look forward to this and it helps us get inspired to carve our own pumpkins. Ours never turn out this good but we try. We like to take lots of pictures of all the creative pumpkins. Here are some of our favorite.
