Amazing Gifts!
Kevin's boss, Gary and his wife Marilyn are wonderful people. They are full of talents and Kevin and I often benefit from their talents. Yesterday Kevin came home with these amazing gifts. I got the cutest little homemade leather bound notebook full of pages for me to fill with whatever I choose. I love the dark brown leather and pink stitches. Kevin got 3 homemade leather books. Each contains photocopies of the original Shakesphere folio. Wow what treasures...aren't we so lucky to know these wonderful people...THANK YOU!

Firestation

Today for our little joyschool we went on a fieldtrip to the firestation. Syracuse has a brand new one with delux recliners and flatscreen TV's for the hard working firefighters :). Our amazing little 4 year olds had a great time. We watched a little fire safety video, got to see where the firefighters sleep and eat and watch TV and then to the garage to see the big fire engines. I forgot my camera but one of the other moms sent me this picture so I could share (Thanks Ash)! Just look at all these Jr. Firefighters...they are darling!

I am sick of sickness
I just have to vent and recap my day on Monday.
Monday morning taking the boys to school so I can take Maycee to Doctor for her 1 year check up. I drop Brandon off at school and as we are driving to Isaac's preschool he says, "I am going to throw-up". He didn't really act sick and so I thought he was just trying to get out of having to go to school (isn't he to young to be doing that?) Anyways, about one block later he pukes everywhere! I turn around and drive home to do a quick clean up and change clothes becuase we don't want to be too late to Maycee's Doc. appointment. We get to the Doctors office, only 15 minutes late and we get out of the car and Isaac pukes all over the ground. Then we sit in the car for 5 minutes trying to decide whether to attempt even going into the doctors office or not. Isaac says he feels better and so we go in. Maycee's check up is good. She is healthy and happy. She is still really little for her age. She only weighs 16 lbs 12 oz (2%). Next Maycee gets 4 shots. She cries and Isaac cried with her...he hates shots. We hurry home to finish cleaning up all the puke. I pull out my carpet cleaner and get the floors and seats all cleaned, come inside give Maycee some motrin to help with her shots and the phone rings. Brandon is sobbing on the pohne "Mom, my ear really hurts!" I go to pick him up from school and call my doctor to see if Brandon can come in to check out his ears and my doctor doesn't have any openings...so Brandon is still crying, so is Maycee and Isaac just wants to go home. We run to the Wee Care and they can get us in...Horay! Brandon has ear in fections in both ears. Poor guy. We get some antibiotics and some numbing drops and we go home. Motrin or Tylenol for everyone (including me) and then some rest and relaxation for the rest of the day.
So, today, Friday 4 days later and I am geting over the crazy Monday but Maycee didn't sleep well last night and she has a cough and runny nose! It just never gives up. Overall life is better and I think I can do this mom stuff adn take care of sick kids. Sometimes I don't think I am qualified to be in charge of these 3 darling, wonderful, amazing kids but I will give it my best shot!

Maycee's birhtday PARTY!
Maycee loved eating her cake. She loved everything from the frosting to the cake inside.
<
This is the cake I made for everyone to share. If you can't tell it is supposed to be a giant #1 with Maycee's name in blocks across the top.
Maycee got so many fun "girl" presents...not to mention a whole pile full of the cutest clothes. Thank you to all our wonderful family who came to share this special day with us.

Happy Birthday to Maycee!
Today is Maycee's 1st birthday. She woke up this morning to her brothers singing "Happy Birthday" and then she got to open 1 present. She got her first doll. She wasn't totally sure what to do with it but don't worry her brothers showed her :).
Next she had her "candle in a pancake" birthday breakfast. She was scared of the flame and after we blew it out wasn't too sure about eating the pancake (which she usually loves).

Maycee is almost 1
Maycee will be 1 next week. Yesterday my mother-in-law took us to build-a-bear to have Maycee pick out her birthday present. This is a picture of Maycee and her bear "mimi". We had so much fun picking out accessories. My boys probably loved it the most...they even got into "helping" Maycee pick out a cute pink ballerina dress for Mimi.
Big news....I got a new camera. It has been along time since my camera worked. I have been using my mom's camera since...October! Circuit City is going out of business and so Kevin suprised me with the camera that I wanted for a REALLY good deal. Here is a picture of Isaac while I am playing around with my new camera.

I am a slacker
So I am not sure what my problem is but here I am catching up again. I guess there has been so much excitement that I haven't had a second to blog about it (not really-but I like to tell myself that my life is super exciting!)
For starters my boys went to a Jazz game and got to go down on the court and they got their jersey's signed by Ronnie Brewer and Paul Millsap. I felt bad because the boys both have Boozer #5 jersey's and I hope Brewer and Millsap were not offended. They also got Kyle Korver to sign their tickets. The boys were so excited but it was hard for me to explain why they can't wear their jersey's anymore. I guess we will just have to get new jerseys and keep the old ones as keepsakes.
Brandon has been playing Jr. Jazz basketball. He doesn't love the game of basketball itself but he does like the idea of running around and seeing his friends. Brandon also lost both his front teeth.

Isaac thinks he is Po Panda (from Kung Fu Panda) he thinks he needs to karate chop everything and everyone. Needless to say this has become and issue between the boys.
Maycee is just growing up and getting into everything. Today she officially taught herself how to climb, backwards, down the stairs.
